I have confirmed that I am using Speakers (Realtek Audio) as the output device on the system tray I tried Nahimic and the other devices but none of them actually output (unless I'm connected to an external device such as headphones or a TV).

I continue to have random lowering of one or both speakers, followed (several minutes later) by one or both returning to normal volume, followed by repeats, plus occasional static out of one or both speakers. I've even checked Event Viewer for ideas. I've made sure Noise Cancellation is turned off, I don't have any version of Dolby installed, I've tried disabling the microphone, I've tried disabling Audio Enhancements, I've checked that app-specific audio levels are correct, and I've disabled the Windows setting that lowers volume during calls. Similarly, their Help Center just suggests factory resets or another RMA - both of which it's gone through.Īs with everyone else, I have tried Windows Update, updating all drivers to the latest, updating UEFI and the battery firmware, and uninstalling/reinstalling/disabling all of the following: Nahimic, the Nahimic driver, Nvidia HD Audio, Realtek Audio, Intel HD Audio, and Windows' built-in HD driver. I even reported it in an RMA when I sent it in to MSI in May (for a motherboard replacement due to random hard freezes) and they did not resolve or try to address it. Please let me know if there is any solution of it.ĭid anyone find a solution to this? I have exactly the same problem on the GE66 Raider I purchased in December. Hope it's going to be solved without involving customers pockets. I had GT72 before, I was 100% satisfied, unfortunately due to video card and screen fault, no point to fix it, I have chosen MSI again blind with a belief of its value I'm bit disappointed now. I went thru the websites exploring similar cases not only with MSI, I have tried some solutions ( one was similar like above ), nothing helped. In my opinion, it is not physical damage to the speakers or the computer, it must be something other like the driver or incompatibility with the system. For example, a volume of 34% once heard as less than 10% once as if 60%. In my case the volume changes by itself, one time down, another time up, underestimated in relation to the system volume. I paid enough for new machine which is only 1 month live. This is new (2021) laptop with RTX 30, there must be something wrong they just missed. I don't think it is accident, and I'm sure there are more people with this issues. I bought MSI GS66 Stealth in May this year (2021) and have the same problem described above.
